17 Most Dangerous Vehicles on the Road Today

16. Nissan Frontier

While most trucks do well in frontal crash tests, the Nissan Frontier King Cab has only a 3-star NHTSA frontal crash-test rating. Furthermore, 4 x 2 versions of the Frontier only have on 3-star rollover rating. And while Frontiers made since 2010 at least have an Acceptable rear crash protection rating, those made before 2010 have an IIHS rating of Poor.

Another area of concern is with 2011-2012 Frontiers. There have been several reports of the airbags in these trucks deploying when braking or driving over depressions in the road. This has led to a recent class-action lawsuit alleging that the deploying of the side airbags for no reason is dangerous and that deployment distracts drivers, increasing the chances of an accident. The lawsuit also alleged that Nissan refuses to fix the problem.
