20. XC2V FLYPMode
Crowd-sourcing has made its way to the military with the new XC2V FLYPMode experimental combat support vehicle. Based on the winning entry in DARPA’s “Design the Next Humvee” competition, the FLYPMode was engineered to deal with IEDs and other modern threats.
This crowd-designed and crowd-sourced vehicle took a mere 3 and a half months to build, and it represents a feasible new model for building military vehicles without taxpayer dollars.
