Amusement parks typically bring people a whole lot of excitement and joy. However, the adrenaline rush you get on a roller coaster can sometimes come with a price. The National Safety Council reported that there have been over 1,000 amusement park-related injuries every year since 2001, with roller coasters at the top of the list.

This list includes 21 roller coasters that together are responsible for plenty of wild rides, but also several injuries ranging from minor to serious. So strap yourself in as we count down the craziest coasters that were so wild that they had to be shut down and others that are still up and running despite the risk of injury they pose to the public.
