25. Ford Seattle-ite XXI – 1962
To start our countdown we’ll introduce the Ford ‘Seattle-ite XXI’ concept car. This 3/8th scale concept – pictured below – was designed by famed auto designer, Alex Tremulis, specifically for the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle.
The Seattle-ite, despite being a miniature replica, incorporated many innovative ideas, which at the time seemed far fetched. Fuel cell power units, interactive navigation, vehicle information systems, and all-wheel drive systems are only a handful of the technologies that Mr.Tremulis thought to include in this concept.
