7 Reasons Chevy Fans are Drooling Over the New 2017 Camaro 1LE

What is a Camaro 1LE?

Simply put, the 1LE is an optional suspension, electronics, and body package available for the Chevrolet Camaro. Technically speaking the Camaro 1LE package started in 1988. It was supposedly designed to help the Camaro compete more competitively in the popular Showroom Stock racing series of the day. Only four 1988 model years were equip with the 1LE upgrade.

We say ’technically speaking’ because the official launch was in 1989 when the company produced more than 100 Camaros with the 1LE upgrade. Since then, said upgrade has proven to be even more popular than Chevy had first anticipated, prompting them to also design a 1LE package for their 4th, 5th and now 6th generations too.
