Ford or Chevy? Camaro or Mustang? It’s the age-old question guys have been arguing over for decades, with each side claiming victory and giving reasons why you should buy a ford mustang or buy a chevy camaro. Guys are passionate about their cars, and the men in these 2 camps might just be the most passionate of all. Well, when we see a chance to show a true match-up between the two, we just can’t resist.

In one corner – the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. This baby boasts a 662 HP engine with 631 flbs of torque. In the other corner, a 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 with a 580 HP engine and 556 flbs of torque. Seems like a one-sided fight, right? Not exactly…

While the Mustang dominates the straight-line speed battle, the Camaro wins almost everywhere else, boasting a front tire as big as the Ford’s rear tire and an even larger front tire, giving Chevy the edge here when it comes to handling, especially in the turns. When it comes down to it, even though the Camaro was about a half-second faster than the Mustang on this track overall, arguments can be made for both. Better overall handling? Well, you might go with the Camaro. Care more about horsepower and drag race speeds? The Shelby GT500 would be the choice for you. Chevy or Ford? The question is still up for debate.
