Jason Carr’s Chevy Powered Mustang Goes for a Wild Ride at Byron Dragway!
When you think of winning a drag event, you don’t usually consider a racer that crashes to be in the running for a championship. Thats what makes the Byron Dragway World Power Wheelstanding Championships one of a kind!
When every day of your life consist of tuning and tweaking for the best quarter mile times, its nice to get a change of pace every once in a while. Thats what Byron Dragway delivers. With the guys winning for best crash and most photogenic wheelie, the categories can be quite interesting. With purses totaling almost $40K, they can also get quite competitive.
Watch this run from Jason Carr, in his nitrous injected, chevy powered ’92 Ford mustang lx. When the winds are bordering on tropical storm power, its not always a good idea to go after long lasting wheelstands. Jason didn’t want to let the crowd down though, and took his mustang for a ride of his life. The crash and save won most photogenic of the day, and Jason later used the winnings to help repair the damage to his car. Good job or bad idea? You be the judge..
