The Subaru BRZ is already making waves as an affordable alternative to more expensive sports cars, but what happens when you let Crawford Performance, already known for making fast Subarus, take a crack at it? Well, you end up with a version that sports a 500 horsepower engine as opposed to the stock 200 HP, and pushes 500 ft-lbs of torque, among other features. Bill Caswell, who made news recently for purchasing a $500 rally car on Craigslist and placing in a rally car race against $400k cars, got the opportunity to put this BRZ to the test at the Redline Time Attack at Buttonwillow Raceway.
This turbo Subaru BRZ sounds unbelievable, and is a true speed demon on the race track, flying by a ton of other cars during its time trial. The gear shifting is what stood out to us, as it seems almost flawless the way the car shifts. The day this car was taken out on the race track, it placed 2nd and reached a top speed of 159 miles per hour. Pretty impressive performance, and an awesome car that looks like a load of fun to drive. Be sure to like and share if you thought so too, and if you enjoyed watching this car fly around the track.
