20. Brough Superior SS100 – 100MPH
Marketed as the “Rolls Royce of Motorcycles”, the Brough Superior SS100 makes our list at the #23 position. This iconic motorcycle was designed and manufactured in Nottinham, England from the early 1920’s up until the outbreak of World War 2.
Although the owner, George Brough broke the motorcycle speed record in 1927 with a speed of 130MPH, standard model SS100’s averaged only about 100MPH. In addition to being one of the first bikes to exceed the 100MPH barrier, the 1929 version of this bike also holds the record for the most expensive bike ever auctioned off!
